Lorenzo in paradise



Jorge Lorenzo became the MotoGP World Champion Sunday for the second time in his career. The Spaniard took the second place in the Australian Grand Prix behind Casey Stoner but the local benefits of the fall of Dani Pedrosa to ensure winning the world title before the final race in Valencia. In Moto 2, Marc Marquez has also topped the title by taking third place in the race. Sandro Cortese had already secured the title in Moto 3 at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Pedrosa broke down and ... launched an operation to preserve wild through his world title chances, the Catalan arrived in Australia with one goal: to win a fourth consecutive Grand Prix, the sixth of the last seven races while counting a poor performance of Jorge Lorenzo still play for the title in Valencia during the final round of the season.



Unfortunately for the Honda Pilot, the adventure was cut short Sunday morning at Phillip Island. At most two rounds, the time to test the bitumen and abandon his last hopes of winning a first world title in the premier class. Good start, Pedrosa got the better of Stoner, author of the pole and Lorenzo. But in the second round, he lost control and let the two men head spinning. It is the abandonment!
